Student Opportunities and Activities
At Gregory Hills Public School, we offer a wide range of opportunities, programs, and activities that encourage students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and shine both in and beyond the classroom. These experiences are designed to help students build confidence, make friends, and discover their individual strengths.
From leadership roles in the Student Representative Council (SRC) to creative programs such as Podcasting, Choir, and Culture Class, students are encouraged to express themselves and celebrate their talents. Our Breakfast Club provides a positive start to the day, while a variety of lunchtime clubs give students the chance to connect, learn, and have fun in a supportive environment.
We are also proud to offer a strong sporting program, giving students the opportunity to participate in school sport, athletics, Gala Days, and inter-school competitions. Many of our students go on to represent the school at zone, regional, and state levels in Swimming, Athletics, and Cross Country. These experiences build teamwork, school spirit, and resilience.
In addition, students can take part in cultural and language activities, public speaking and debating, interest-based clubs, and creative and performing arts showcases. We also provide activities that support high potential and gifted learners, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

Student Leadership
We believe in empowering students to become confident and responsible leaders. Through our Student Representative Council (SRC) and other leadership opportunities, students learn to voice their ideas, represent their peers, and contribute to positive changes within the school. Leadership roles help students develop important skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, while building pride in their school community. Our student leaders are encouraged to lead by example, show respect, and inspire others to do their best every day.
