Stories and Highlights
There’s always something to celebrate at our school. From exciting events and academic achievements to sporting victories, creative performances, and everyday successes, our students have countless reasons to feel proud. Here are just some of the highlights that showcase the energy, talent, and spirit of our school community.
Celebrations
Throughout the year our students enjoy fun and engaging celebrations, including the Book Parade, Hat Parade, and Harmony Day, which bring the whole school community together to celebrate creativity, diversity, and learning.
Extra-curricular Activities
At Gregory Hills Public School, our extra-curricular activities help students explore their interests, build skills, and connect with the school community. Programs like our Breakfast Club provide a welcoming nutritious start to the day, Podcast and Public Speaking develop creativity and confidence, Culture class celebrates diversity, Choir nurtures musical talent, and the Student Representative Council (SRC) encourages leadership. These activities support teamwork, resilience, and a sense of belonging, helping students grow both academically and personally.
Community Connections
Our Community Connections initiative brings parents and carers together to foster a supportive and inclusive school community. It provides a welcoming space for meaningful conversations, access to local services, and collaboration with school leadership on issues that matter most to students. Through regular meetings, guest speakers, and community events, we strengthen partnerships between families, the school, and the wider community, ensuring every family feels heard, supported, and empowered.
"Gregory Hills Public School has a wonderful community spirit. Families are encouraged to participate, share ideas and celebrate achievements, which makes the school feel like a second home.” - Parent of Gregory Hills Public School
